Open Windows, Open Doors

These pieces are based on the houses I was raised in. They reflect the feelings of those homes, even if the locations are not exact.

My parents’ house in the woods is a place where beauty and comfort are found after wandering through the rough trees.

My Nana and Pawpaw’s house is small, surrounded by flowers and dirt roads, like something magical from my childhood.

My Grandma and Grandpa’s house holds memories of summer days at the lake — sunburnt, happy, and loved.

Although these places still exist, I remember the wonder and magnificence of the homes that raised me.
